Ever sit around with your friends, enjoying a cold beverage of your choice, and somebody says, "This is the BEST beer I've ever had!" Then the next guy chimes in with, "thats not the best, the best is such and such brew." Then somebody else disagrees with both of you. Put it all together and what do you get? An old fashioned take ya out behind the woodshed, State -vs- State, Beer -vs- Beer, Best –of- the Best, BEER BRAWL III!

Beer Brawl III is an annual event @ Concordia Ale House and it's our main event of the year. It's an all out battle, where three States: Oregon, Washington, and California fight for the right to claim "we've got the BEST BEER!". You, our customers VOTE for the winner in a 12 beer blind tasting extravaganza. The categories are, PALE ALE, IMPERIAL IPA, STOUT, & BREWERS CHOICE (Captains Pick).

Each State has a Captain who picks the BEST BEER (Captains Favorite) in each Category, to do battle with the other States. The STATE that gets the most votes wins, and the BEER that tallies the most votes wins our M.O.B. Award, (Most Outstanding Beer!)

How are Captains Chosen? We have three events per year at Concordia Ale House, Washington Cup (Beer brewed in Washington only, contests are every April or May), Concordia Cup (Beer brewed in Oregon only contests are every July for Oregon Beer Month), and California Cup (Beer brewed in California only contests are every October). The winning BREWER of our three events earns the CAPTAIN HONORS for their STATE, and the right to pick the BEER to represent their STATE in BEER BRAWL III.
